Impact & Evaluation Overview

EHF's focus on impact represents an emerging trend toward goal-driven philanthropy: a shift from a charity-based approach of filling gaps in the safety net to a transformative approach that intentionally programs resources to address root causes and implement sustainable solutions. Our job is to conduct and support work that moves people and communities in that direction. If we succeed in our work, we will have made a true impact on the 10 million Texans living across EHF's 57-county service area.

To help us understand the impact of our work, EHF uses a Strategic Learning and Evaluation System. We evaluate our work so that we can be accountable to our stakeholders and become more effective through studying the impact of our work.

EHF's first Impact Evaluation Report contains findings related to how EHF invested in 2015 through grantmaking and by working with Episcopal Churches across the Episcopal Diocese of Texas.
