Transportation and Health Access Needs Assessment Report
February 22, 2019
In 2018, Health Outreach Partners (HOP) and the Episcopal Health Foundation (EHF) began an eight-month project to assess the non-emergency health-related transportation needs of low-income and uninsured populations in rural areas in central and southeast Texas. This report presents findings and recommendations based on an Environmental Landscape Scan and focus groups/interviews with communities and providers.
The Community Addendum includes both primary and secondary data separated for each of the three communities included in this assessment: Bastrop, Waco, and Bryan/College Station. This report is organized into three sections based on the three Texas communities with the intention that individuals interested in a specific area can refer to its corresponding section. Specific sections from the full report will be referenced throughout the Community Addendum for convenience.
