Four EHF grant partners have been selected as Listen for Good grantees from the nationwide Fund for Shared Insight. Each organization selected will use the grant to learn new ways to get important input from the people they directly serve with their services.
El Buen Samaritano Episcopal Mission, Epiphany Community Health Outreach Services (ECHOS), Family Service Center of Galveston County and Memorial Assistance Ministries were each awarded a $60,000 Listen for Good grant.
EHF is one of 30 foundations nationwide co-funding this important initiative. Each grantee was nominated by EHF and the Foundation funds $20,000 of the grant. The remaining $40,000 of the grant is provided by Fund for Shared Insight.
“We’re thrilled that four of our partners will be participating in the national learning opportunity,” said Elena Marks, EHF’s president and CEO. “They’ll be using a tool that gives them actionable data from the clients they serve. Listen for Good builds a capacity within these organizations that’s essential for transformational impact.”
This is the second round of Listen for Good grants. It’s a collaborative effort among funders dedicated to building the practice of listening to the people nonprofits and foundations seek to help. The initiative will develop simple and systematic ways of obtaining feedback from nonprofits that receive foundation funding, as well as help nonprofits obtain input from the people they serve.
