The event will bring together grantmakers from across Texas to examine different investment approaches that go beyond traditional philanthropy to help them maximize impact and strengthen existing systems.

The day-long presentation will highlight social impact approaches, including impact investing, that can unite communities and philanthropic organizations to increase opportunity for low-income Texans.

“Impact investments are investments made into companies, organizations, and funds with the intention to generate social and environmental impact alongside a financial return.”
-Global Impact Investing Network

The event features presentations on venture philanthropy and sparking social change, stories from social entrepreneurs, and investing in Texas for social impact.

“To truly be good stewards of our resources, we must look creatively at all avenues for achieving our goals,” said Elena Marks, EHF’s president and CEO and a panelist at the event. “Impact investing is one way EHF may be able to extend and leverage our resources to help communities address health from all angles.”

Speakers include regional and national funders and social impact organizations.
