Community collaboratives are tackling some of Texas’ biggest health challenges, from improving maternal health to strengthening food and nutrition security and preventing diabetes. But keeping those partnerships strong over time requires more than shared goals.
On Thursday, Aug. 6, EHF will host a free webinar exploring one of the most important questions facing collaboratives today: How do you build partnerships that last?
Exploring Sustainability in Collaborative Work: Insights from the Field will bring together leaders from successful collaboratives across Texas to share practical lessons on sustaining partnerships, adapting to change, and planning for long-term success.
The one-hour virtual session will feature:
- Diane Kaulen, Senior Initiative Coordinator, Texas Children’s Hospital, Houston Area Suicide Prevention Coalition
- Kim Morris, Chief Impact Officer, East Texas Food Bank
- Gayle Waden, Program Manager, Third Ward Community Health Collaborative

Learn more about EHF’s Collaborative Registry
In addition to the panel discussion, participants will have opportunities to connect with peers, exchange ideas, and learn about collaborative efforts taking place across the state.
The webinar is part of EHF’s Collaborative Registry, a growing resource that helps connect health-focused collaboratives working across EHF’s 81-county service area. The registry enables organizations to discover potential partners, learn from similar efforts, and strengthen collaboration around shared health goals.
Sustainability emerged as one of the top learning priorities identified by collaboratives participating in the registry. This webinar was developed in response to that feedback, giving participants the opportunity to hear directly from community leaders who have built and sustained successful partnerships.
Whether you are leading a collaborative, supporting cross-sector partnerships, or exploring ways to strengthen long-term sustainability, this session offers an opportunity to learn from peers, exchange ideas, and build new connections.
