With support from Episcopal Health Foundation, the Center for Health Care Strategies (CHCS) conducted an environmental scan to document design features, implementation experiences, and lessons on implementing the National Diabetes Prevention Program (DPP) as a Medicaid benefit.

Through a literature review and key informant interviews, CHCS examined state coverage pathways, provider types, payment rates, state cost calculations, eligibility requirements, and state implementation lessons.

The report summarizes findings and offers key considerations for implementing the National DPP as a Medicaid-covered benefit.
