EHF’s Congregational Engagement (CE) team is looking for an exceptional candidate to fill its new position as Congregational Engagement Officer on Social Transformation for Healthy Communities.
This new position will support congregations and their community partners across the Diocese to move from charity-oriented outreach toward greater sustainability by creating the social and economic conditions needed for healthy communities.
The CE team pursues these goals though coaching, capacity building and training. We’re creating partnerships to advance poverty reduction, racial equity and social connection. The CE team also works to increase nutrition and food security, civic engagement on pro-health policies, early child development and other determinants of health within EHF’s strategic focus.
We’re seeking someone who is passionate and energetic about community, social change and the role that congregations can play in advancing community health and equity.
The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of success in program management, community engagement, community development, community organizing, and the skills and knowledge to be able to pursue health equity for all. The candidate will use that experience to help congregations play a meaningful and impactful role in their communities.
As a member of the EHF’s Congregational Engagement team, the Officer will also help to connect all parts of the foundation to our Episcopal congregations and support the EHF’s goals by building local coalitions and aligning goals, activities and messaging, among other functions.
