Good Measure’s Special Projects Fund
Good Measure has opened Request for Proposals (RFP) for its 2020 Special Projects Fund. Through this RFP, Good Measure is inviting proposals from networks, collaboratives, and individual organizations with data-related scopes of work connected to COVID-19 response and/or long-term recovery. All projects should benefit multiple organizations and/or the broader community, and are not designed to solely benefit a single organization. Work should be focused in the Austin MSA (Travis, Williamson, Hays, Caldwell, and/or Bastrop counties) and the lead applicant applying for funds should also be based in the Austin MSA. While individual organizations may apply, scopes of work by networks/collaboratives are preferred.

Texas COVID Relief Fund
OneStar Foundation has been designated by the State of Texas to raise and distribute funds to eligible organizations working on the ground to support the economic recovery of Texas communities impacted by the coronavirus. The Texas COVID Relief Fund is currently raising funds through public donations and is in the early stages of fundraising and formulating the requirements and governance of the fund. Nonprofits, school districts, and government organizations serving Texas communities are eligible to apply for funding. The fund will support organizations that promote community and economic development, education, and healthcare. We will prioritize funding unmet needs not covered by existing sources, vulnerable populations, and under-served communities.

Alice Kleberg Reynolds Foundation
The Alice Kleberg Reynolds Foundation has opened the 2020 grant cycle early to allow for emergency funding of grants related to the pandemic. Nonprofits in Travis, Harris, Fayette, Colorado, Wharton, and Matagorda counties may be eligible. The Alice Kleberg Reynolds Foundation 2020 grant cycle will be open from Wednesday, May 20, 2020 through Thursday, August 27, 2020 at noon (12pm) CST.

Union Pacific Foundation COVID-19 Relief Grants
Given the unprecedented impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic, Union Pacific’s Community Ties Giving Program allocated additional funding for COVID-19 Relief Grants to address critical community needs associated with the pandemic. Nonprofits in Texas are eligible. Typical grant awards in the UPF Local Grants program will range from $2,500 – $25,000. Based on the past several years, the average grant was less than $10,000. Grant applications are open from April 1, 2020 through May 31, 2020 and applicants will be notified of the status of their application in September 2020.

The Brazos Valley COVID-19 Community Relief Fund
The fund is being managed by United Way of the Brazos Valley, the Community Foundation of the Brazos Valley, the Bryan/College Station Chamber of Commerce, the City of Bryan and the City of College Station. Funds will be distributed throughout the Brazos Valley for Nonprofit Organization Support – offering grants for programs supporting food, rent and utility assistance for those impacted by COVID-19 response.
- Applications for the next round of funding open Saturday 4/25 at 9am and close Thursday 4/30 at Noon.
United Way of Harrison County COVID-19 Relief and Recovery Fund
United Way of Harrison County and our partners are committed to ensuring that our communities have the support they need to withstand the short and long-term impacts of the COVID-19 outbreak.

St. David’s Foundation COVID-19 Recovery Fund
The St. David’s Foundation COVID-19 Recovery Fund complements the efforts of local health departments, public health officials, and federal subsidies by providing financial support to impacted nonprofits located in Bastrop, Caldwell, Hays, Travis and Williamson Counties. Eligibility is open to 501(c)3 organizations within these five counties to support the immediate and intermediate needs of those working to improve health and support members of the community during this time of crisis.
- Beginning on Monday, April 13th, St. David’s Foundation grantees and other local nonprofits impacted by COVID-19 can submit their applications for the St. David’s Foundation COVID-19 Recovery Fund. The application deadline is Thursday, May 7th at 3:00pm CST.

CARES Act telehealth reimbursement (which includes mental health services)
Eligible providers are nonprofits and public health agencies that have purchased telecommunications and/or telemedicine equipment after March 13 can apply for funding support for those and any subsequent purchases. Right now, the fund is set at $200 million, so early applications have a much better chance of being accepted.

Greater Houston COVID-19 Recovery Fund
The fund issued its first awards, including grants to some of EHF’s partners. We anticipate additional rounds of funding. The grants will be funding community-based organizations that have a longstanding history and robust experience in providing people and families with services and support. All Together ATX Community COVID-19 Relief Fund
In an effort to support the community during the COVID-19 pandemic, Austin Community Foundation and United Way for Greater Austin have partnered to create All Together ATX. This community-led philanthropic fund will provide flexible resources to nonprofit organizations working with communities who are disproportionately impacted by COVID-19 and the economic consequences of the outbreak.
