What You Need to Know
When Episcopal Health Foundation announced a new Strategic Framework for 2024-2030, we made one-time changes to our grantmaking process for 2024. Now, in response to the emerging needs of our grantee partners and the shifting funding landscape, we have made additional adjustments to our grantmaking process for 2025.
The health landscape in Texas continues to shift beneath our feet. Federal funding cuts, plus uncertainty around future support for programs like Medicaid, SNAP, and Affordable Care Act health insurance, are placing enormous pressure on safety-net systems, especially critical providers like Federally Qualified Health Centers. Community organizations are being asked to do more with less, often in places with the greatest need and fewest resources.
For the remainder of 2025, EHF grants will be by invitation only and focused on continuing support for current grantees.
We will not have an open call for grant applications in 2025.
The majority of EHF’s grant funding will go to grantee organizations that deliver health and health care services, address non-medical drivers of health (NMDOH), or connect Texans to public benefits. We will be prioritizing support for organizations facing significant funding cuts or instability that could threaten their mission’s sustainability.
This shift allows us to stay flexible and responsive as the funding environment evolves, and to focus resources where we believe they can have the greatest immediate impact – ensuring that all Texans are able to access critical health and health care services that address their primary care and NMDOH needs.
If you are a current grantee that meets the criteria above and wish to discuss your funding needs, please contact your Program Officer.
