Coalitions Wanted: Learn about the 2025–26 cohort for EHF’s Collaborating for Healthy Communities Initiative

If your coalition or collaborative group is working on maternal health, food & nutrition security, or diabetes prevention — this opportunity is for you.

Big challenges require strong community collaboration — and Episcopal Health Foundation wants to support coalitions that are ready to tackle them head-on.

We’re excited to launch the next round of our Collaborating for Healthy Communities Initiative (CHCI) — a 12-month program designed to strengthen coalitions working to improve health in their communities.

CHCI is all about helping coalitions do more, better. Through coaching, peer learning, tailored technical assistance, and funding support, the initiative equips coalitions with tools to grow their capacity, build trust with community members, and align efforts for greater impact. It’s built for groups already working on the ground in one of the 81 counties served by EHF — whether you’re focused on improving access to healthy food, expanding maternal care, preventing diabetes, or addressing other key factors that shape health.

New this year: CHCI is aligned with EHF’s three Priorities for Change — maternal health, food and nutrition security, and diabetes prevention. These are key areas where we believe deep, sustained action can make the biggest difference in reducing preventable health differences across Texas. Coalitions working on at least one of these priorities in EHF’s service area are encouraged to apply.

Want to learn more before applying? Join EHF for one of our Lunch & Learn webinars in June — each session runs from 12:00–1:00pm CT and will explore a specific Priority for Change, explain the CHCI application process, and include time for Q&A:

  • Thursday, June 13Maternal Health

  • Tuesday, June 18Diabetes Prevention

  • Friday, June 27Food & Nutrition Security

We’re looking forward to partnering with coalitions that are ready to deepen their work, build momentum, and make meaningful health improvements alongside the communities they serve.
