DESCRIPTION:Date: February 22\, 2020\nLocation: Various Locations: Round Rock\, Marble Falls\, Austin\nSponsor: The Union of Black Episcopalians\, The Myra McDaniel Chapter (Austin) \nThe One Human Race Initiative is a ministry of the Union of Black Episcopalians (UBE)\, Myra McDaniel chapter based in Austin. Utilizing the PBS series Race: The Power of an Illusion\, the UBE chapter offers a three-part series of workshops designed to provide a safe\, open\, and productive framework for learning and sharing about racism as expressed through institutions and systems and how it impacts individuals. \nThe series lasts three weeks to provide time for participants to digest the information and form community among the group\, emphasizes radical hospitality (accepting everyone\, no matter their background or opinion)\, and uses Eric Law’s mutual invitation method for sharing. The series also includes other concepts from Eric Law’s book The Wolf Shall Dwell with the Lamb.
