In addition to grant-making and research, EHF advances the foundation’s mission to transform community health through our partnerships with the 150+ Episcopal congregations across the 57 counties of the Episcopal Diocese of Texas. That’s why we’ve added a new section on our website called Congregational Engagement.
In these webpages, congregations can learn more about how other Episcopal churches are in action around community health outreach, discover key community health concerns facing their areas, and find out about opportunities to learn more about engaging with communities.
We’ve also posted the results of our congregation survey and information about how to learn about specific resources and ministries at Episcopal churches using an interactive asset map.
Soon, there will be an extensive resource center dedicated to providing support and information about building skills for community engagement. There will also be resources for congregations to use for addressing key community health needs like mental health, access to health care, and poverty.
