Leaders can take action in many ways to influence community health practices, decision-makers or policies that impact health in Texas when equipped with appropriate skills and tools.
- Essentials Of Facilitation
Facilitation can help groups increase its effectiveness by improving its processes. This workshop will assist those interested or tasked with guiding a coalition, task group or work group. The workshop will explore the key functions of a facilitator, managing constructive and destructive behaviors, building consensus and influencing others without authority.
- Navigating Differences
This workshop takes a deeper look at the myriad of differences leaders encounter in others that often-become barriers to meaningful change. Participants will explore gender, race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, religious difference among others.
